The young German contralto has a beautiful dark voice with a warm depth and radiant high notes.
In the summer of 2023, she completed her master’s degree in song/concert and music theatre at the Cologne University of Music and Dance under Prof. Lioba Braun. During this time, she took on roles including the title role in Britten’s “Rape of Lucretia” (director: Gabriele Rech), Olympia in the world premiere of Marc Vogler’s opera Felix Krull (director: Oliver Kloeter) and the role of Mary in Wagner’s “Der fliegende Holländer” (director: Georg Rootering).
During her bachelor’s degree in singing with Prof. Franz-Josef Einhaus at the Lübeck University of Music, she sang the role of “Queen Fanette” in “The Adventures of King Pausole” by A. Honegger at the Lübeck Theatre (director: Micheal Wallner).
In addition to her studies, she attended masterclasses with Simone Kermes, Dorothea Wirtz, Michaela Schuster, Josef Loibl and Brigitte Fassbaender. She is a scholarship holder of the Richard Wagner Association Ammersee e.V.
Recent opera engagements have included the role of “Older Woman” in J. Dove’s opera “Flight” at Theater Aachen (director: Ramona Bartsch), as the 3rd lady in Mozart’s Magic Flute at Goethe-Theater Bad Lauchstädt (director: Igor Folwill) and again as “Older Woman” in Flight, this time at Theater Bonn (director: Adriana Altaras).
She also appears regularly as a concert soloist in Verdi’s “Messa da Requiem”, Beethoven’s “9th Symphony”, Bach’s and Saint-Saëns’ “Christmas Oratorio”, Mendelssohn’s “Elijah”, Handel’s “Messiah” and Mahler’s “Das Lied von der Erde”.
