Torsten Kerl first began his musical career as a professional orchestra musician and instrumental soloist on the oboe, then switched to singing and quickly became a prize winner of several competitions and scholarships.

Elena Batoukova-Kerl is one of the most distinguished dramatic singers of her generation. She began her career as a dramatic mezzo-soprano, quickly making a name for herself in the German and Italian repertoire. With impressive expressiveness, she has embodied central roles such as Santuzza, Eboli, Amneris, Ulrica, Azucena and Venus. Her constant artistic development and vocal expansion eventually led her to the dramatic soprano repertoire, where she has enjoyed great success in roles such as Turandot, Elektra, Brünnhilde and Senta. Her interpretations are characterised by exceptional emotional intensity, technical mastery and a deep understanding of the roles she sings.
