– General Management –

Igor Podoplelov possesses that rare stage presence which, through his dark, powerful timbre, expressive musicianship, and exceptional stylistic versatility, leaves a lasting impression on opera productions, gala concerts, and international concert programmes.
He is a sought-after opera and concert soloist whose artistic career takes him to major stages and concert halls. He has appeared in musical projects at the Moscow Philharmonic, Zaryadye Concert Hall, and the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, among others.
Igor Podoplelov is also a guest soloist with the Perm Opera and a guest soloist at the Mikhailovsky Theatre. In addition, he appears as a guest soloist at the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia and the Kolobov Novaya Opera Theatre in Moscow.
His artistic career has taken him to the stage of the Bolshoi Theatre, where, as a member of its opera company, he has performed a demanding repertoire including Aeneas in Henry Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas, Schaunard in Puccini’s La Bohème, and Lebedev in Mieczysław Weinberg’s The Idiot.
Igor Podoplelov’s international profile is also reflected in his concert projects. Together with the renowned pianist Alexander Ghindin, he has presented, among other programmes, Nikolai Medtner’s evocative romances set to poems by Alexander Pushkin in Switzerland. His international concert engagements have also taken him to China.
What distinguishes his interpretations is the combination of a rich, deep voice, exceptional tonal presence, and refined musical expression. Podoplelov moves with confidence across an exceptionally broad repertoire – from the oratorios and masses of Johann Sebastian Bach and George Frideric Handel, through the music of Felix Mendelssohn, Richard Wagner, and Johannes Brahms, to works by Ralph Vaughan Williams, Igor Stravinsky, Dmitri Shostakovich, and Alexander Tchaikovsky.
He has collaborated with outstanding conductors including Vladimir Spivakov, Yuri Bashmet, Teodor Currentzis, Tugan Sokhiev, Christopher Moulds, Philipp Chizhevsky, Alexander Rudin, and numerous other distinguished conductors.
His artistic excellence has been recognised through success in international competitions. Among his most notable distinctions is the Grand Prix at the International Fyodor Chaliapin Competition for Young Opera Singers.
He received his musical education at the prestigious V. S. Popov Academy of Choral Art, under the guidance of Professor Natalia Nikulina.
International masterclasses and collaborations with distinguished artists have further enriched his musical profile and refined his distinctive artistic expression.
