The young French light-lyric soprano, Emy Gazeilles is starting an outstanding carrer in France. She made her debut in London in 2024 with the chamber orchestra of ‘The English Concert’ with an aria programme. In 2022, she gratuated and recieved the honours from the National Superior Conservatory of Music of Paris, France. After winning several prizes at international competitions such as Voix Nouvelles, she was invited to join the Ensemble of Paris National Opera. Since then, Emy has performed in many French theaters: Opera Bastille Paris, Palais Garnier Paris, Théâtre des Champs-Elysées Paris, Opéra-Comique Paris, Chorégies d’Orange, Opera of Lille, Opera of Rouen Normandie, Opera of Avignon, Opera of Nice and many more… So far, the artist has performed the following roles: Gilda from Rigoletto – Verdi, Susanna from Le Nozze di Figaro – W.A Mozart, Pamina from Die Zauberflöte – W.A Mozart, Cleopatra from Giulio Cesare – G.F Händel, Amore from Orfeo ed Euridice – Gluck among others… In terms of concerts repertoire, Emy had the opportunity to perform with orchestra some magnificient musical works : Les illuminations – B.Britten, Concerto de la fidélité – G.Tailleferre, Gypsy songs – A.Dvorak, Exsultate, jubilat – W.A Mozart and also one of his concert arias Misera, dove son! Ah ! Non son io che parlo. She discovered the baroque repertoire on a production of
Semele, staging by Barrie Kosky, collaborating with the french conductor Emmanuelle Haïm who shared with Emy her passion for music. Soon, she will sing Lisette from La Rondine of G. Puccini at the festival of the Nice Opera house and Sœur Constance from Les dialogues des carmélites at the
Opera of Rouen. Many magazines and TV shows name Emy as the Young Talent: Diapason, Classica, Quotidien, France Inter, Musiques en fête, Culturebox… She’s indeed the yougest artist of the ensemble of the Paris National Opera house. Emy Gazeilles likes challenges that she considers to be exceptional events. In 2022, she jumped-in to sing Germaine Tailleferre’s Fidelity Concerto with the Paris Chamber Orchestra under at the Philharmonie de Paris
